two Surgeon\'s Certificates for a Civil War vet veteran from Maine (1904 + 1908):

Two (2) Surgeon\'s Certificates for a Civil War vet from Maine. One is dated 1904 and the other 1908.


They are both for the same person (who I believe eventually died in 1932 at age 85).


Each page is nearly legal sized, about 8.5\" by 13.5\". The bottom 3\" has been folded and stored that way for years in the Avery sleeves.


(On the covers of the Avery sleeves has been added some info by a former owner. These are not on the paper, just taped to the plastic sleeves.)


Each page has a doctor\'s hand-written description of the person\'s then-current physical conditions. There\'s also a sentence on each of the cause of origin of the person\'s disability (one seems to mentions Fall of 1864, the other mentions 1865). The vet seemed to be getting a pension of $12/month.


One page has no added writing or doctor markings on the back, the other has some sentences on the bottom half.


Each have some general wear.
