Original Soviet 6B3 used by the KGB:
$1300.00

While used, this 6B3 holds historical value. It's an item that's been in my collection for some time, but I've decided to sell it now.Additionally, markings on the vest signify:
  • "3" denotes the blood type of the battalion,
  • "1PO"was a marking for radiomen that was reused by the KGB to disguise themselves,
  • "14x14" was an assigned serial number.

This 6B3 was utilized by commanding officer Colonel Pidorovof of the KGB motor rifles company. He would have been commanding the whole coup if they had executed it.While 1PO is a radio unit, the KGB field unit repurposed it to masquerade for the coup.In 1991, Kiev was going to witnessed a coup similar to the one in Moscow, and the two were closely interconnected. The intention was to storm the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR, akin to what happened in Moscow, but the special units assigned to the task refused. Here is the original report filed on August 19th, 1991;This report on the events that took place in the 1PO Guards Battalion in Kiev on 19 August 1991 was written by Commander ######### ##### to the State Security Committee [KGB]
‘At 15 hours 44 minutes on 1 September 1991 the battalion of the 1PO Guards received an order to seize the House of Soviets of the Ukrainian SSR in Kiev, this action I and my battalion carried out on the instruction of the Vice-President of the RSFSR Gennady Yanayev, about which we received at 12: 00:00 hours on 19 August, this instruction was carried out to no avail due to the willful refusal of the troops to storm the building, BTR-80 vehicles were parked outside the Council House, but no action was taken due to the uncertainty of the situation and the impossibility of contacting the General Secretary of the CPSU Mikhail Gorbachev, which was done on 3 attempts between 12:00 and 5:67. ‘After purchase, you will receive the following:
  • Picture and full report file from 1988 of Pidorov,
  • Fully unfiltered report from 1991,
  • And of course, the vest.
