Piece seems to be a machine-made gunto from WWII or possibly Showa period, it sports a fake acid or water tempered notare hamon.
The blade shows significant rust and corrosion, with noticeable pitting and discoloration that have severely affected its surface.
There are multiple chips and nicks along the edge, resulting in a somewhat dull and damaged cutting surface. The only surviving fitting, the seppa, may be a later addition to the piece. Can\'t make out any signatures or stamps on the nakago.
This sword is in need of light restoration and would be a project for those desiring a decent gunto blade.
