A Scottish regiment infantry officers Brass basket hilt dated late 18th to early 19th century.
The broadsword is in amazing condition and a rare find with an undamaged intact brass guard / hilt.
The hilt is intricate and of excellent quality. The handle is the iconic basket style with handle still in good condition.
There is no looseness or wobbling in the handle and basket guard is in great condition.
The blade is a double edge broad sword design.
The blade has double fullers on the ricasso and running down the remainder of the blade.
