Here are three uzbek ssr otlichniki in ,from left to right, mexanizator (mechanic) irrigator (irrigationist?) and agronom (agronomist?). I paid 6$ for each, but have never seen anything like them. Collectors in Tashkent say that they are rare as only 500 of each were awarded. The numbers on the reverse are, from left to right342, 68, 114.
Made of some heavy steel like alloy. Anyone out there know what these are?

Hello,

These are titles of distinction awarded by Uzbek SSR. They are very rare and awarded by Uzbek Supreme Soviet. I think there is another thread with some of these. These are not the republic Otlichnik badges, which are also very rare, but a lower level award.

Dear Keith,

Just saw your thread on Uzbek Doctor. Collectors in Tashkent tell me that there is an extremely rare Honoured collectivist badge, which is apparently the rarest badge in the USSR, only 5 were awarded.

Hello,

You may be able to find how many of these badges there are, and the different types available (and the names of the recipients) if you look in the Uzbek Soviet Encyclopedia, or in books called Uzbek SSR from the 1970's. I have been able to find these for Estonian SSR, and I have seen them for other republics as well. You might try the Uzbek state library if you are there.
