According to NB, this is a:

UKRAINIAN REPUBLIC SUPREME SOVIET MEDAL As given with Honored Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukraine, circa 1970s. Made of german silver.

Alexei has one on his site for sale if anyone wants it. Has anyone ever seen the award document presented with these?

Kind Regards,
Shane Cook.

Guys,

Here's an Honored Gramota medal variation. Apparently made of brass and goldplated. The loop is neatly soldered together.

How many medals like this were awarded?

I thoght this medal was rare, and till today I saw only 4 for sale, but the price is very low - I got one for $25.

Any thoughts?

Tal,

This is a rare medal, but there isn't much information about it, so nobody knows exactly what it costs. $25 is a great price. Congrats!

Guys,

This is the Estonian equivalent, it is the badge given with an awarding of Gramota from the Supreme Soviet of ESSR. These should actually be very easy to find, I saw about 20 for sale in Estonia, some of the Latvian equivalents, and lots of the Ukranian ones have been showing up on Russian sites. The documents are also very easy to find. There should be a badge for each republic's Supreme Soviet Gramota, does anyone have any others?
