Hungarian uniforms: M1952 aviation 1st Lt. uniform

M1952 aviation 1st Lt. parade uniform. This soviet type uniform was used between 1952 and 1956.

Are those sew-in boards or slip-on? What is the date stamp?

These are sew-in boards, so unfortunately I can't tell you the date.

The date stamp should be on one of the inside pockets of the jacket. I have an M52 with slip on shoulder boards - but this was not "regulation". However I think it was from the time when the Legvedelmi (air defense) and the Legiero (air force) were joined into one unit after a "foreign" airplane invaded Hungary in 1955 and no one fired a shot at it! Mine is marked for 1954 and the wear on the boards show they have been on it for a long time.

Unfortunately, the date stamp on the inside pocket is not at the best condition, so I can't see the date:-(. You are right, the sew-in shoulder board was "regulation" with the M52 parade uniform, the slip on board with the M51 BDU uniform or with the "gimnastorka". The last one's color is not gold as the parade board, it is yellow.
I have only a few Rákosi-type uniform: M51 officer (rifleman), M49 artilerry 1st Lt. overcoat, and these two.
