I believe, but am not sure this one may be Estonian. It was from one of the Baltics but I can't remember which one. Anyone know what this badge was awarded for and if it's possible to find out who it was awarded to. It's dated 1970 and is number 19, so it doesn't look like it was awarded that many times.
Note the scanner makes the badge look somewhat off colour. It's made from what appears to be brass and is all one colour. Kind Regards, Shane Cook. |

I'm not sure how many were awarded a year but Jānis Ivanovs a Soviet Latvian classical music composer was awarded the SSR State Prize in 1959 and 1970.
