Valentin Sushko Vitaljevich
I need some help with finding information about colonel general Valentin Sushko Vitaljevich. If I have correct information, he was a military district and later division commander from the 70's.
If anybody has some information about his military career or other biographical notes please write it to me! Many thanks in advance!!!! |

seems hopeless - no info on him found inthe russian net. Supposed that I haven't misspelled: валентин Виталиевич сушко.
I think only archival search may give some answers. |

Thanks for your help!!!
Your spelling seems good. I have some information about the military district, but I don't know about it's correctness. I've heard that he served in the Moscow Military District from 1969 to 1975, and after as division commander in Smolensk. He also served during the war. He got the following campaign medals: Defense of Stalingrad Defense of Kiev Liberation of Warsaw Capture of Berlin. Last edited by bazsi; 02-19-2008 at 06:29 PM. |

Are You sure? I mean - russian ortography isn't my strong point, but the name is "Виталий", so "й" disappears and is replaced by "е" and "и" remains there, since it works the same as "ь" on "л" and keeps it original sound at the same time.
