You knows something about this medal. It is a soviet one?

Alfred,

It is Soviet, no doubt about that, but it is not a State award. It was issued by an association more or less affiliated to the Komsomol (VLKSM), the Sons and Daughters of Fathers-Hero. They also issued several pins, and from memory I believe that some of these were discussed in another thread.
