#6390 This one I got off of Alexei a while ago. Happy that it one of my first and my lowest at this stage. A nice salty piece that has obviously been worn a great deal and probably worn in action.

OK, Solved my image resolution issue; Here are the obverses of the Nakhimov #23, Mongolian State Security #5, and Motherland 1st #09...

I have an Order of the Red Star, Nr. 7249 (research pending), an Order of Lenin, Nr. 47676 awarded to a Major Fedor Alexeevich Gavrilov, an Order of Glory, 2nd Class, Nr. 14914 (research pending), an Order of Glory, 3rd Class, Nr. 28728, awarded to a Sergeant Egor Andreevich Pankin in lieu of a Red star, for which he was recommended, and lastly an Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, Nr. 249548 (research pending).

Order of Alexander Nevsky....serial number 23707. This particular variation has narrow bands at the handles of the battleaxes and this piece is one of the lowest known serial numbers for this variation. Part of a large documented, researched, translated and authenticated group.

Ivan Zinovyev.....HSU, top scoring Sturmovik pilot (strafing ace) in WWII for all allied forces. OGPWI #10091. Also awarded OoL, ORB (twice), Bravery Medal, Combat Service Medal,
VoG, CoB, LoP, 30th Anniv..and of course the Gold Star.
He had 87 ground kills, 9 additional in the air to make him an Ace. No one from any other country equaled his feat.
