BK 2nd

Hmmm.
Have Order of Bogdan K..2nd class...No#57. A really nice piece with superb citation...

I was offered Ushakov Medal (serial #1) !!!! - by very reputable dealer approx 2 years ago... I didn't have the extra money at the time, as he wanted (much) more than the typical asking price for this medal.

Okay, so these aren't in my collection at the moment, but were at one time (and are owned by some members of the forum!) so I'll take the hit and post them up:

-Glory 1st 12
-Glory 3rd 37
-Red Banner "2" (screwback) 72
-Patriotic War 2nd 345

Of those I kick myself for passing up, Lenin 278.

Red Star

Yesterday I went out to see a nice collection and I saw Order of the Red Star #4050. Already spoken for by a friend, unfortunately. I don't even have one below 300,000. However, I did get a transitional government St. Stanislaus 2nd Class with sash (that was a surprise!) as well as a very early BGTO badge and an Osoaviakhim badge that I had never seen -- the Ready for PVKO-2nd Level lapel pin. I always thought that one must exist, just as the standard 2nd Level badge on a biplane hanger and the 1st Level lapel pin exist, but this is the first one of these I'd seen. I think that this finally completes my collection (accumulation, amalgamation, bunch, pile) of variations of this particlar badge. The owner threw them both in for the price of the St. Stan, too.

Good hunting.
