I just got my copy of this book at the SOS this weekend as I wanted something to read in the airport. Unfortunately, I'm not a fluent Russian reader, but I could make out a good bit to figure out what was going on. The pictures are very nice - probably the best part of the book. I paid $70 for my copy, and while it's nice to own and look at, I'm not sure of how much I'll really use it since most of the awards in the book are now exceedingly out of my price range. If you have the money though, it's a nice book and I recommend it. Though, as desantnik says, if you can't read Cyrillc, I'd probably steer clear of it unless you just want it for the pictures (which are GOOD!)

Re: Orden Lenina / Orden Stalina

I was surfing somewhere recently and came across a page with a table of all the recipients listed/mentioned in the book but I can't find it now. It was capable of sorting by number or name! !

All in Russian but if you know enough Russian you get the book as a database. Has anybody else seen it and if so could you re-post the link?

It had pictures of some of the recipients that I did not find in the book. Super link if I could find it again?

A.

Aharim,

I never heard of that database, but would be very interested to have a look if/when you get that link.

Re: Orden Lenina / Orden Stalina

I have just done a brief search on the Russian Internet, and couldn't find it. Hope you can find this link.

Re: Orden Lenina / Orden Stalina

If I find it I will put in a link. I looked up badge numbers and there were pictures of the recipients not in the book!
