Translations
Why not contact Desantnik - he will do full translations for a very reasonable fee. He also knows most of the odd abbreviations used by the military and can usually get more out of these books than the average person can. He has translated the majority of my collection for me.
I love collecting these KK books. You really get to know something about the person. So far I have green (only one), dark blue/gray (3), light blue (2) and manilla (20) versions. Are the manilla ones the main type issued? Haven't seen blue books with a solid red star before, all of my blue books have a hammer and sickle on the star. Also I recently bought two KK books for the same person - one issued 1946, another 1948. Anyone know why a second book would be issued while the first was still in existance? Simon
