Krzysztof,

Are you sure that the H&S is made in silver? From the look of it, the color seems to be different from that of silver parts of the order.
As far as I know, H&S were made with some lower alloy gold, so it could be that it got patinated over time.
Alexei, any opinion?

Marc

Marc.
I'm sure the H/S is silver.
The flesh of the camera make shadows but this order is unusual .
The H/S is white color 100%.
Did you see order like this before?

Krzysztof,

According to Mondvor, it is Type 6, Variation 2, Subvariation 2, but that does not take into account your "silver" H&S.

As far as I know, all the gold on any Red Banner of Labor is plating- no solid gold parts on this order (at least as far as I am aware). The only explanation I can come up with (and this is pure conjecture) is that the plating has been rubbed off intentionally (why, I have no idea, but I have seen instances of where an area of plating "comes-up" and people tend to "fiddle" with it until all the plating has been removed... nervous twitch, I suppose), the H&S missed the gold plating stage of production (either a Monday- hangover- made order or a Friday- I've got to get the hell outta here- made order) or that the H&S has been replaced at some point. As this is the area of the order that protrudes farthest, it would logically be the area that would take the most punishment- scratches, gouges, etc. Again, pure conjecture.

Red Banner of Labor, T6, V2, Serial #05....

Greg.
I have little experience in this field, but I don't agree with you.
I'm attaching two types of this order so you can compare .
In my opinion it is a unique type or some one replaced H/S.
You can see on the back the rivets are larger, on the front H/S is silver and is a little smaller compared to the other type.

Krzysztof,

You need to compare orders in the same range. The ones you show are from different mints.

Mark.
I was hoping if some one from the Forum with more experience could help me to identify the type or subversion of this order.
