Hi!

It's nothing so special- just a common Type 6, Variation 2, Subvariation 2, like Lapa said. Gold is just worn or polished off from this silver made hammer and sickle. I have seen it also on other serial number ranges.

BR,

Lauri

Guys,

I'm really enjoying this discussion, but I think this thread needs to be moved to the "Orders" section of the forum; I began this in the "Militaria Wanted" section hoping to come across an ORBL, Type 6, V2 with an 05.... serial number. It has now launched into a discussion of types/variations of the order. Can a moderator move this? Thanks.

Krzysztof,

I think that this is a professionally done replacement. The RS is most likely also a replacement.

Re: Order of the Red Banner of Labor Type 6 variations discussion

I know the picture is bad but can anybody tell me if these big numbers on the back of the order are common?

Re: Order of the Red Banner of Labor Type 6 variations discussion

Many of these have passed in front of my eyes in the past two years with rarely a noted problem, but I've never seen the engraving look this rough or sloppy. Maybe it's just the photo, but it seems off and out of pattern. Maybe someone else has seen something like this in that range?

Re: Order of the Red Banner of Labor Type 6 variations discussion

Based on this picture I can't say anything about this particular piece, but this is not an unusual engraving style.
