'Order of Glory' serial number
Some of the numbers on the orders of glory in my collection are hard to read depending on the skill of the engraver.
I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinion on what the number is for this glory I recently bought? The 4th & 5th digits are the ones Im unsure of. Mark |

The 5th looks like another "9". The last one is a 4.

Tal,
Thanks the seller had it listed as 532794 but it looks like 532904 to me also. Just wanted to check I was not misreading it before I add it to Alex's database. Thanks Mark Last edited by Mozzabloke; 11-30-2006 at 03:40 PM. |

How many 3rd's are there?
Sorry Mark to disturb your thread, I do think the last post gives the right answer but I wanted to ask a question of my own. MONDVOR website gives the total number of Glory 3rd class recepients over 990,000 but the the description of variations I've seen always stop around 750,000. That's 150K medals missing. Where are they or is this a silly question? Thanks. Sergei.

Me, I see 287421, but it might be as you said or even the second last digit could either be a 7 or a 2. ![]() ![]() I would appreciate to get more opinions to try getting more certain on the number. Thanks! |

I would tend to a 2, because all the 7 i saw had no cross line.
