Russian 1941 'issue' Propaganda EKI's??

Hi Guys,

Anyone know anything further about these Russian made 1941 German EKI's, which apparently had the inscription:

"FUR RAUB
AU
MORD"

(For Robbery and Murder)

I know a few were 'issued'/used, but does anyone know anything else, or where I could obtain a replica???

ATB,
Tom

Date on reverse

Does the date 1813 have something to do with the "motto".

This date was in the Napoleonic war e.g.

August 23: Battle of Grossbeeren - Prussians under Von Bulow repulse French

October 16: Battle of Leipzig (Napoleon vs Prussia, Austria and Russia).

What 1813 has to do with 1941 though is not clear. Perhaps both as dates of bloody invasions/battles?

1813 is the date on the back most Iron crosses (barring EKI's), it is to with the the Franco Prussian war I beleive, the date 1941 (which on an authentic EK should be 1939) is to do with the invasion of Russia, apparently this piece was made/used by Russia as anti-german propaganda???

On the 10th march 1813 the first Iron cross was founded by the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm III.

The other foundation dates are: 1870, 1914 und 1939.

Andreas
