Some Soviet Medals in my collection
Gentlemen,
I apologise. I didn't understand what the link back was. So I'm restoring the thread with my Motherhood Medals. The Motherhood Medal, 1st class Established 8 July 1944. It was awarded to mother's bearing six children. It is a white and blue enamelled ribbon design brooch suspending a 30mm diameter silver medal. The obverse has a mother and child with a star burst at the 10-11 O'clock position. The letters CCCP are on a scroll at the 6 O'clock position. The Reverse has the words "Motherhood Medal at the 12 O'clock and the 6 O'clock position. There is a Hammer and sickle in the center. The Motherhood medal, 2nd Class Established 8 July 1944. It was awarded to mother's bearing five children. It is a white and green enamelled ribbon design brooch suspending a 30mm diameter Bronze medal. The obverse has a mother and child with a star burst at the 10-11 O'clock position. The letters CCCP are on a scroll at the 6 O'clock position. The Reverse has the words "Motherhood Medal at the 12 O'clock and the 6 O'clock position. There is a Hammer and sickle in the center Best, Doc

I've gotten these for my wife before. She loves them, and they help keep her interested in my collection, which seems to keep her from complaining about how much I spend on awards.
Here are ones that I've gotten her. I do not know if the book is authentic or not. It's Byelorussian if it is. Last edited by January; 01-25-2007 at 08:19 PM. Reason: unclear |

These are my mother's medals. Well not actually my MOTHER's medals. They are MY mother's medals. English is a hard language to say what you mean.

Combat Service Medal
I just wanted to share a photo of one of my collection. I needed a couple of more posts to work with the Data Base SN 4899. I picked it up in the early 90s.
