As I said, there are only small scraps with incomplete words.

I'm going to take some photos tomorrow.

Hello,

Here are some photos of the paper. I thought it could be a granting decree or scrap of the newspaper.

P.S.
I don't know how can I attach photos which are bigger than 50 KB.

I am not sure if I missed anything here or not, but my understanding was that the papers was found in the ground together with the medal...

Just my opinion, but those pieces of papers don't appear to have been exposed to outdoor weather and soil. They are just dry and aged like as if they stayed indoor. Such paper would never survive more than a few seasons or years at max. Even the medal ribbon is in too good condition to have been in the soil for 60 years. It always depends on the specific condition of the soil and weather, but in general, this would decompose much more quickly.

matteti: I was surprised like you. Believe me, the paper was round about the screw-bolt. Look at the second photo in my first report here. That photo is taken a few minutes after finding.

The medal was founded in very dry soil at the edge of the woody downhill. It must be the reason, why is the paper so conserved as we can see...

MinTaur: I didn't notice the second photo in your first posting until now. I just looked at it now and it really seem that the paper was around the screwpost for a long time and dried there in that position.
Sorry for my suspicions.

Hi,

You can't attach images bigger than 50K, but if you have a paint program (photoshop, etc) you can squeeze the image to a smaller size. See this for more info:

I'm still waiting for informations about the recipient of the medal. Unfortunately Prague's Embassy of Russian Federation still didn't reply to my query. So I'm going to write a letter to an archive in Russia.

By the way - Is possible to identify what type and variation is that medal? The clamping plate is without "moustaches".

Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, T1V3 is the only variant with that type of suspension and a plate on the back rather than stitching.
