Re: Space Medals

A wrap-up of the recent Space Medal sells on E: Of the 12 medals sold one individual from the US won 7, one individual from the US won 3, and one individual from the US won 1. The final medal was won by an individual in Germany, while the 6 badges were won by an individual in the UK. The winning bids ranged from $15.80 to $36.03, with an average bid of $25.55 per medal. No word on whether the seller will combine shipping, but hopefully he will. As the number the bids indicate people watched these listings and actively took part. Overall, I believe that the buyers came away with some great deals and the seller didn't fair too badly either!

Re: Space Medals

Eric,
I knew you won the one on the left, but I never saw the one on the right listed. Congratulations! PS - What does the medal on the right say on the back?
Mike

"For the achivements in services

This seller had many other good medals (mostly Komsomol) on German eBay.
I don't know why they did not show up on USA eBay

Thanks for the translation, Eric!
Yes, it was strange that all the seller's Space Medals didn't show up on USA eBay.

Re: Space Medals

A different version of a 30th Anniversary of the Baikonur Cosmodrome commemorative medal than we normally see. Possibily a missile rather than a Space launch vehicle on the obverse. It is listed on an internal Russian website.
