Yes.... but in 2000 / 2001, the Buran program had been canceled for a while...

The first and only orbital launch of the shuttle Buran took place on 15 November 1988. The flight was unmanned, and the Buran 1 mission was limited to 2 orbits due to computer memory limitations.

After the first flight of Buran, funding for the project was cut. The project has been officially canceled in 1993. There were two other Buran shuttles under construction. Neither was finished.

In June 1989, the Buran program was still active, and it was probably the first (and maybe only) public appearance of Buran.

I also was able to get the Konstantin Tsyolkovsky medal (Soviet version, about 2000 made)

My Congratulations Tal for those nice new acquisitions!

I watched them on E!, but I had no idea of the rarity and I saw the price going high very quickly on the last auction day, so I didn't bid.

I guess your specialized book helped you!

The space medals are the best for me - they are Soviet medals, and their topic is space. I am teaching s[ace sciences for almost 16 years, and I am a space historian - so you can understand the value of those medals for me.

4 months after the previous space medals, I got 3 new medals to my collection.

The left one is the Chelomey medal, on the right - Command and control center jubeely medal.

It is very unusual to see soviet space medals on ebay. And suddenly, there are more than 20 at the same time, available from 2 sellers.

Now, seeing so much soviet space medals offered on ebay is one thing. To see a GROUP with some documents for the same person - that's a whole new story. A seller on ebay has these medals :
