Here are couple of medals supposedly made of metal from Russian space shuttle Buran, which means that the metal in the medals was in space during Buran's flight.

Medal #1

Text reads:

"This commemorative medal contains metal from space shuttle Buran. First flight took place on the orbit and automatically landed on Boikonur center. Nov 15, 1988"

This limited edition collectible medal was produced by 'Space-Earth' in the famous Gorky Park, Moscow in 1988. The medal commemorates the first and only orbital flight of the Soviet Space Shuttle Buran and minted entirely from materials that were used to construct Buran.
Medal measures 1.5" diameter, raised relief with the 'Space-Earth' holographic emblem on the reverse.This Hologramm is missing in Williams Pic.

Buran was on display in Sydney at the time of the Olympics in 2000. It stayed there for approximately 3 months.
