If you need, please let me know. The price of the medal with the document (without S&H) is 1800 Rub (approx. $$75.00)
Eric,
By way, what does this certificate say? Who awards this medal? (Space Medals, #299)
Thanks!
Mike

Eric,
Excuse my absentmindedness!
We're also waiting on the Korolev 75th birthday anniversary medal as well, correct?
Mike

Came across this interesting picture of Cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev. Sergei is a veteran of six space flights and has spent more time in space than any other human being. He has spent a total of 803 days, 9 hours, and 39 minutes in space, and is still an active cosmonaut (he's scheduled to fly again in 2009). He has been dubbed "the last Citizen of the USSR" as in 1991-1992 he spent 311 days, 20 hours, and 1 minute aboard the Mir space station while back on Earth the Soviet Union collapsed. Thus, he has the unique distinction of being both a Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of the Russian Federation. Update: Sergei is now the Vice President of Manned Flights at S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (RSC Energia) where he is involved in the development of Russia's new manned spacecraft that will replace the Soyuz TMA in the not too distant future. At this point it's doubtful he'll fly in 2009, but one cannot rule out the possibility of him piloting the new manned spacecraft's maiden flight!

Mike, I am sorry
I misunderstood your question. (I was lazy to check what medal is #299)
The document says: National Awarding Committee of Samara
Jubilee Medal of Yuriy Gagarin
70th B-Day
Yes, 75th B-Day of Korolev is on it's way
Eric

SpaceCadet,

Are you sure that it is original? The center medallion isn't even properly aligned, which is quite strange for these.

Do you think there are fakes?
Here is mine - 100000% original. Is there a difference?
If this award is faked, it's like a terrorism in our hobby
Eric
