Odd way of preserving medals!?!?

Has anyone seen medals packaged this way? I never have, but these were in a lot I recently purchased.

Sorry for the poor image...I can't seem to ever get photos sized properly for this forum but the medals & medal bar seem to be shrink-wrapped in plastic.

The way is odd, and the way they put the ribbons-not properly-is odd too.

Guys,

I have seen some of them on our favourite auction site, and thought that it was not a bad idea, if you are a dealer, interested only in preserving them.

Why not, Medal ribbons were certainly protected with clear plastice to stop them discolouring....

Also, the medal ribbons being reversed like that do look suspicious but I have been informed that some officers did change the way in which their ribbons were dislayed This occured during the immediate post-war period.
