Answering to your question, vikingraider, it´s not a fake, but it is modified to look as a more "high rank" cap. You know, sellers that think that can fool us say:"More briliant things on it, more bucks for me" What I´m tryin´ to say is...That.

one can always say it is very common stuff, it's nevertheless waste...one day we'll run after those common cheap visor caps became rare...because of stupidity.

"Out of an estate and before the breakup of Soviet Russia comes this new Russian Hat. Inside has the leather sweat band with the Soviet label. I do not read Russian. Also what looks to be the size of the hat is stamped 57 inside of hat. Hat is heavy and well put together. Many gold stars and has the original label attached to hat which says Mfg. 1990. This is before the breakup of Soviet Russia. I was told at the estate that the light green pipping or braid is the Border Patrol. The Winged Wheels could be from the Railroad Patrol. Most definately a very nice collectors item."
