I didn't really know were to post this, but I would like to know what are these ribbon bars for ? Are they common ?

They are "official", but much less frequently encountered than they cloth ones. If yours haven't cracked, consider yourself lucky. The paint below the plastic covering often cracks and chips.

Here are other one I have found on eBay. I thought these were unusual.

Because the regulations say so!

Victory anniversary medals are put after the Victory over Germany medal...then the Victory over Japan medal (if awarded) and after that one, the "capture of" and "liberation of" medals are worn.
