Fake "Defense of" Campaign Medals

Thank you Lapa for your expertise.
With this, I have posted a total of 6 medals, 2 of which were detected as fake ones. 30% fakes is not good, even if I just started collecting medals.
But with the help of this excellent forum, I will improve very fast!
Thank you folks!

ciao

Ciao a tutti!

This defense of Leningrad is the very first Soviet Medal I have purchased for my collection.

It seems ok, I have got some positive comments from friends, but I am still suspicious, maybe because it is just too shiny for its age.

The blue (green?) line on the ribbon has faded almost completely. It is so weak that is totally invisible in the scans.

Your opinion on this medal will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Defense of Stalingrad

Howdy, these were purchased from a reputable seller of WWII militaria months before me finding this great place.

Just checking.

As always, greatly appreciated.

Very nice, early, steel, two-piece suspensions. Can't comment on the medals themselves but I'd be surprised if they were bad.

Thanks Eric! Here's a closer look.

Thanks!

Norm,

I don't see any reason to worry about these. As Eric pointed out, they come on their original suspensions, which is nice.

Rocketscientist,

By the way, it is the scarcer variety, with the horizon line stopping at the letters.
