hello gentlemen, I'm lucky enough to have gatheredabout 200 veteran badges of all kind...I'll post some pics soon...

a french collector told me oncethere was a book, a catalogue which identifies all of them...and of course he was unable to show me it...

Sebastien,

I've never heard of such a book. I know you'd rather get a more helpful answer

thanks! is there any mere estimation of the quantities issued of these badges? I believe 200 different ones are only the emmergent tip of the iceberg...

I saw a Russian-language advertisement some 10-15 years ago for a booklet that was going to be done by a Belorussian collector club. I don't know if it ever saw the day of light.

I have over 350, have photographed them, and written a supporting text. Paul McDaniel will help me publish this, however it will be a paperback booklet and cannot claim to be "comprehensive".

I've heard of collections numbering over 1000 badges, but I honestly doubt whether they still exist. I know veteran badge collecting became extremely popular at least in Ukraine, since many couldn't afford the orders and medals.

Veteran badges are very popular here in StPetersburg. At the local club meetings, there are litterally hundreds available.
