I believe my statement is incorrect. I now think that the red flash is to signify a guards unit.

Sky blue is for VDV, I know that, but Royal blue ones are ones Ukrainians sell as KGB berets. If the beret is blue but does not have evidence of any stitching/seams, liner/lining, or sweatband, is is a naval beret for females.

Hmm, well I don't think a one with the Motorized rifles emblem is correct. However, it is also an emblem for KGB and the beret is a shade of blue... You can put it together... Where did you get the cap?

Here's the one I had in my collection.I bought it in Hungary in the middle 80's
I think it's a fine example of a para beret

Can we add external links? I would like to show you another beret posted by one user of my local forum, because I don't think it's a correct para beret
