So we have following variations of the Guarding the State Border Medal:
Variation 1a - sterling silver with round flat ring 21,5 Gramm (+/- 1) Variation 1b - sterling silver with round ring 21,5 Gramm (+/- 1) Variaiton 2 - german silver/Neusilber alloy 16,5 Gramm Variaiton 3 - cupro-nickel 17 Gramm In the above classification mine is a Varition 2 with "hanging noose" ring? many thanks and regards Andreas |

I think it is difficult to judge from this poor scan, but I hope that someone will try: this item went unsold at an auction in northern italy, about 2 months ago.
It gives me a bad impression, however I never saw this medal elsewhere than in photo. Thank you sergio |
