Named Marshal of the Soviet Union on 11.3.1955

During WW II commander of fronts (incl. Western Front, 1941, Stalingrad Front, 1942), in the final stage of the war - commander of IV Ukrainian Front; General of the Army. Later commander of Carpatian, West-Siberian and Northern-Caucasian military districts.

But this is what I have, also supposedly from Marshall Eremenko. Includes breeches and M55 service cap which is general officer but without oakleaves which were added to marshall service caps in 1969 I think. Buttons are all 1968. (HSU star and guards badge added by me, ribbon bar came on it)
Too bad one would have to hock the house in order to properly bemedal a parade uniform like yours.

You probably meant "the main house, the summer house, the beach house, the winter chalet, the yacht, and a few insignificant other bits and pieces" ;)

I could work my way down the medal list by making my family eat beans for a month or two....right until I got to the the 3 suvurov I's. I wonder if anyone reading has ever held more than one Suvurov I in their hand at one time. (I've never seen any of the high end-uber orders in person other than my Nevsky which I bought a few years ago before prices went nuts).

In any case, my dream "lotto tunic" is a MSU Parade uniform so I am much impressed with your piece. I was especially interested in the wound stripes as I've not seen those on a flag officer's uniform. Cool to the max!:thumbsup
