Although outdated, and the prices are going to make you:p , those booklets can tell you the story of the rarity of awards, reflected by the prices. Some contain pictures of rare awards, some are more common.
A part of the hobby development...

Tal,
There are actually a total of 5 small 'octavo' format catalogs, plus 2 large ones, for 1997 and 1998 (like the green catalog pictured above). References like this are unvaluable source to serious collector, and for the price ($5ea or something), is a must buy (if you can). As for the prices in those catalogs, there ARE NO fixed prices for any orders, just estimates, flactuating largely upon condition, serial number, specific variation, research details, and million other things... Only based on things like previous sale, number of previous occurances (and their offered prices), current offerrings, etc. you can sort of derive the price of an order (and last, but not least, add to it your level of comfort, while deciding to shell this much for a piece).... ******'s catalogs, *******s catalogs, past sales, that you know of, whatever other info you can gain from past auction results, web sites, etc., in my firm opinion, is the sole source of deriving the price from. Just my 1.5 cent Alex. |

yes, some of them are still available at the original source. I know for the fact, some of them D.****** still sells via his site, not sure if ******* has his avail., but you could email him and ask.
Regards, Alex. |

As Alex said, very good sources. And my 2 Rubles, buy ALL reference materials you can, even some of the outdated, since each of them can tell you something you didn't know before.
