A set containing 82 biographies of HSU from Minsk area. Hard to find, but full of information. Printed in Minsk in 1965. Russian text.

Slightly related to your post. When I was in Belarus last year I saw a copy of a book about Heros of the SU specific to those who were either from Belarus or won the award for action in Belarus. I think these were the same entries as in the 2 volume set (short paragraph with a photo). It was a nice looking book.
I don't know if similar volumes were made for the other republics, but I would not be surprised to see a Ukrainian one.

I had an HSU group to one of Minsk's "Hero Sons". If I could get a listing of names of the guys mentioned in the book, I can check my guy....
