RSS Feed User FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
1. What is the EBay Militaria Auction RSS Feed section?
RSS (which stands for Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a "feed" or "web feed" or "channel") contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with web sites in an automated manner that can be piped into special programs or filtered displays.
Threads posted by the Blackbird robot are the results of automated keyword searches performed every 4 hours within specific EBay auction groups. These results are then displayed via RSS feed in the form of message posts. At this time, there are two EBay Militaria RSS groups which. These groups are:
1. EBay Soviet Militaria RSS Auction Feed
Results of searching EBay's Russian militaria section for medals, orders, badges, and pins.
2. EBay Mongolian Militaria RSS Auction Feed
Results of searching EBay's militaria section for Mongolian medals, orders, badges, and pins.
2. Is it safe to buy through these links?
Please read the terms of use policy applicable to this website. The RSS feeds are provided as an information service to the members and guests of this forum on an "as is" basis. No endorsements are made nor implied by this website, its owner, or any of the moderators for any of the items for sale via these links. It is your responsibility to determine if you should do business with the individuals who are offering these items, and to determine the authenticity of the items offered for sale. This site will not be responsible for any business conducted between you and EBay. If you have a problem with an EBay seller, the issue needs to be addressed between yourself and EBay. In addition, this forum will not be used to publicly address any problems you may have between an EBay seller and yourself with a completed transaction or a transaction in progress. Again, take it to EBay management.
3. Can I place links to items I have for sale on EBay on this forum?
Yes. However there are different rules for subscribers and non-subscribers.
For subscribers, You are welcome to post EBay links in the Marketplace section as well as the RSS Feed section. The post must be relevant to the area you are posting in. It is suggested you post image attachments to help illustrate the item you have for sale
For non-subscribers, No EBay links will be allowed in the Marketplace areas. You are free to post as many relevant links within the RSS Feeds sections as you'd like. Image attachments are encouraged.
For all members: If you are posting an EBay link for informational reasons within the discussion areas (for example the General Talk forum) you must attach an image of the item that clearly illustrates your point. If you are not posting a link, you may continue to post images only. This is for when the auction ends and the link eventually goes dead. We want to avoid building a topic of discussion around something we can no longer see.
If there are any questions, feel free to contact me or post them within the RSS Feed Discussion Area.
Good Luck with your Auctions!
